NFTs

What are NFTs?

It is an acronym for a non-fungible token that is a unique digital asset which proves ownership and authenticity of a specific item using blockchain technology.  "Fungible" means interchangeable (like a $1 bill or a Bitcoin). "Non-fungible" means one of a kind. No two NFTs are identical, and they cannot be swapped one-for-one like currency.

NFTs are minted (created) and stored on a decentralized digital ledger—a blockchain—making the ownership record permanent and hard to alter. Think of an NFT as a digital certificate of authenticity or a digital deed rather than the file itself. Owning an NFT means you hold the blockchain receipt for the original item, even if copies of the image or video exist online.

Having done some research into the complex process and speculative nature of creating and selling NFTs,  which also includes fees for the artist, I have elected NOT to sell my artwork as an NFT.  So if you are here to ask to buy my art as an NFT, thank you for enjoying my visual art display, but my artwork is not available as an NFT.
